Bio de l'Expert
I am Noé Patrick M’BONDOUKWE, Ph.D. in immunoparasitology, authors of 12 publications. I integrated the Department of Parasitology-Mycology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Université des Sciences de la Santé from Gabon as lecturer/researcher, Post-doc. I am interested by the malaria/helminthiasis/intestinal protozoan coinfection on the epidemiological and immunological views. I acquired skills on microscopy, molecular biology, ELISA and flow cytometer. I am implicated in the control and the elimination of parasitic Neglected Tropical Diseases such as schistosomiasis, onchocerciasis, and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis. I collaborate regularly with National Control Programs of Parasitic Diseases on research projects. I am also implicated in the process of antimalarial drug development in Gabon participating to research clinical trials as co-coordinator and expert malaria microscopist. I am EDCTP fellow for a Career Development Fellowship 2019 and head of the Unit for the COVID-19 diagnosis at the reference laboratory Professeur Daniel Gahouma.
With clinical trials, I was introduced in the good laboratory practices, good clinical practices. I work on the quality at the laboratory: improving the SOPs, trainings for lab personnel. The data is very important and I followed an online training on data management and sharing.
